Bliss Lau Blurs Lines

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Bliss Lau, one of the most original contemporary jewelry designers in New York City. Bliss and I sat down to discuss how she came to design such an intricate collection of body jewelry, which is inspired by garments, history and New York’s architecture, such as the Brooklyn Bridge. She designs and hand drapes each piece on a model form, so the jewelry lays like clothing, blurring the lines of jewelry and clothes.

I’m mesmerized with the Dark Lady Necklace, inspired by the Shakespeare’s Dark Lady Sonnets, as well as the fierce, bridge-like Riot Bracelet. Check out more here.
