Many companies today are partnering with charities to be more socially conscious. So when I heard about L’OCCITANE partnering with the ORBIS organization to end preventable blindness I was intrigued. L’OCCITANE created a new line of fundraising soaps, named, Get on Board for Sight ($6 each). The soap is modeled after the ORBIS airplane, also known as the Flying Hospital. They’re available in pink (scented with floral notes) and blue (scented with lemon) soap.
Not many know that 280 million people in the world are visually impaired and 80 percent of blindness is preventable. So I’m happy to say that 100 percent of the proceeds are donated to ORBIS, which brings eye care services to countries all over the globe.
The limited line of soaps will launch this week on October 12th and will be sold in L’OCCITANE stores. Jeanette x
